Summer At Wunderdog! PDF Print E-mail

Summer is coming to a close and we at Wunderdog had a summer filled with fun!  Our Day Campers and reserved guests played in the giant plastic pool, went on hikes through the woods, walked and biked the country roads, ran in the field, played indoors and out, and received a lot of Wunderdercaregiving attention!

Lynn's assistant, Krystal, was back to working a couple days a week (before her student teaching began at school's start), and as usual, she was AWESOME.  Krystal has come to know each of our Wunderdogs very well, and made such progress is working with each one on their "manners."  To name a few, Krystal worked with the day campers on sitting quietly while being leashed for a walk, walking nicely on lead (and heeling), sitting (or downing) for all treats, toys, and balls, waiting at all gates-entrances-and-exits, tolerating (and sometimes enjoying) gentle nail maintenance and brushing/combing, and "waiting" while cars passed if on a road.  Our campers and guests were treated to Krystal's daily singing (she is a professional singer/music major), which unfortunately is not as much of a treat when Auntie Lynn does it!

All in all, our summer here was terrific.  We made great strides in fostering dogs and finding them AWESOME homes.  We had a profound experience with "Molly" (an Olde English Bull Dog)--who became a PAWS New England dog.  It brought us much satisfaction in getting her her much-needed knee surgery, rehabbing her, and placing her in an amazing home.  PAWS received several donations from Wunderdog clients (THANK YOU!!), and it warmed our hearts witnessing Molly's patience and tolerance for the pain she was suffering.  Please visit www.pawsnewengland  for dogs that are up for adoption.

Going into Fall, we at Wunderdog wish you and your doggies lots of Fall fun!  Don't forget the orange safety vests for your pups, and get out there and see the leaves! We are filling up quickly for fall and winter reservations, so if you are in-need, please email or call us to reserves (before we are completely booked).

"Bridging the communication gap between humans and dogs....one dog at a time....."

Wunderdog Mission:

SINCE 1998....

Our mission at Wunderdog is to strengthen and improve the relationship between dog and owner. With a better understanding of innate dog behavior, both owner and dog will benefit, and Wunderdog strives to teach this to our clients in a way that everyone can understand.
Whether our clients choose grooming, training, or daycamp, we provide this service with instruction and insight. We don't just offer training to the adults, we offer training to all members of the family--children included (at no extra charge)! Because we, at Wunderdog, are readily attending (and receiving CEU's where available) the latest educational seminars and classes in Grooming and Canine Behavior (and also maintain professional-level membership of many accredited canine organizations), we offer many types of training--including the most currently used methods..

Nothing brings more to the table when I first meet with a new client than crate training. Most humans view crating as a "prison," or consider it cruel to confine a puppy or dog.....
